Responsibilities
Provide a comprehensive diagnostic and hearing aid rehabilitation service for adults with hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis and other complex needs. Manage the adult audiology service on the complex hearing loss pathway, support tinnitus and hearing therapy, and collaborate with neuro‑otology and neurofibromatosis type‑2 clinics.
Supervise audiologists in training and contribute to service development.
Perform routine and non‑routine hearing assessments, hearing aid provision and ENT clinic support for paediatric patients of all ages, including newborns through the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, and habilitate children with hearing loss.
Attend clinics at the John Radcliffe Hospital and may be required to undertake clinics at Banbury, Brackley, Witney and Didcot, with flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications
Be a qualified Audiologist or Clinical Scientist (Audiology) with a BSc, PTP, STP or MSc in Audiology, registered with the AHCS as an Audiologist or with the HCPC as a Clinical Scientist. Ideally have NHS experience in both adult and paediatric audiology. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, and teamwork.
