Management Accountant Management Accountant - Norton Canes Amanda, our Head of Management Accounts is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join the Finance team based in our Support Office at Norton Canes on the M6 Toll road near Cannock Working as part of the Management Accounts team this role will work alongside our 3 Regional Controllers to ensure the accurate and timely production of internal reporting requirements, including the monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and other ad hoc reports. Key Responsibilities: Own key profit and loss lines, posting adjustment journals each period to ensure their accuracy Produce information accurately and to deadlines by adopting a right first time approach Provide commentary and insights of variances to budget, forecast and prior years Challenge current processes and reporting by adopting a continuous improvement approach Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts using existing knowledge, being the lead on key profit and loss lines Support the Regional Controllers, share knowledge appropriate to each region and assist with gross margin analysis Develop relationships with the Roadchef Motorway Services based admin teams Periodically prepare balance sheet reconciliations identifying and recording any risks or opportunities Assist with the year end audit process Maintain an up to date set of process notes Other ad-hoc reporting requirements Our ideal candidate: Relevant accounting experience, including journal preparation, data analysis and balance sheet responsibility Part-qualified CIMA student Excellent Excel skills SAP experience preferred Multi-site retail or catering experience desirable An attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and keen analytical skills The ability to communicate confidently and effectively to a wide audience using appropriate methods Strong interpersonal skills with a can do approach Ability to meet tight deadlines working autonomously and as part of a team A forward thinker with strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload and manage expectations Benefits: Heavily subsidised meals whilst on duty Up to 70% discount for you, family and friends at all Roadchef sites Discounts on many high street and online stores via our Hapi app Free onsite parking Contributory pension after 3 months Access to Occupational Health support Employee Assistance program Mental Health First Aiders Great development opportunities Study support available via our apprenticeship scheme Who is Roadchef?
