We work in partnership several NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home, these include Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, Ophthalmology services and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures.
About the role
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based at our Head Office in Edgbaston.
The Data Entry Administration role is a crucial position within the organisation, playing a pivotal role in managing and organising patient information. As a member of the team, the primary responsibility of this role is to accurately and efficiently categorise and record patient data using Microsoft Excel, ensuring that all information is properly documented and ready for submission into the SUS portal (Statistical Returns System for the National Health Service in the UK).
Key Responsibilities
* Data Entry of patient-related data into designated Excel spreadsheets. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial in this task to maintain data integrity
* Categorising and organising patient data according to specific parameters, ensuring that information is easily accessible and retrievable as needed for reporting and analysis purposes
* Preparing patient data for submission into the SUS portal, adhering to deadlines and quality standards to ensure timely and accurate data reporting to the National Health Service
* Working with patient administration systems, such as EMIS (Egton Medical Information Systems), to update patient records, schedule appointments, and manage other administrative tasks related to patient care
* Maintaining data accuracy, rectifying errors, inconsistencies, or missing information in the patient records to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data
About you
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant data entry tools
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing
* Familiarity with patient administration systems, or the ability to learn and adapt to new software quickly
* Excellent organisational skills to manage and prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other stakeholders
