Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £180 – £210 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term, Temp to Perm for the right candidate
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Food Technology Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist secondary provision in South London this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a purpose-built SEND setting, supporting students aged 11-19 with Autism (ASC) and associated needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, practical Food Technology lessons while promoting independence, life skills, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons tailored to students with SENDAdapt teaching to meet individual EHCP targets and learning needsSupport pupils in developing practical life skills, independence, and safe food preparation techniquesWork collaboratively with LSAs, therapists, and pastoral staffCreate a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience teaching Food Technology at secondary levelPrevious experience in SEND, SEMH, or autism-focused settings (highly desirable)Confident in differentiating lessons for a range of abilitiesPatient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needsThe School
