My client is a leading international electromechanical engineering technology business, specialising technology for the vastly growing electrification and transportation sectors. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, my client seeks 2 x Electromechanical Technicians to join their Test Function, working across two sites for a 6-9 month PAYE contract assignment.
Responsibilities
* Product assembly and testing
* Test rig design, maintenance, calibration and fabrication
* Running Test programmes and report writing
* Assisting R&D Engineers with product analysis, FMEAs, design reviews etc.
* Continuous improvement activities
* General housekeeping
Working across the Gateshead and Northumberland sites across the working week, my client seeks experience electromechanical engineering professionals with electrical and some mechanical expertise.
Additional selection requirements include:
* A good knowledge of electronic circuits
* Assembly, troubleshooting and testing of electronic products
* Use of electronic test equipment (Including DVMs, Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers)
* Soldering and rework techniques
* Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and Word)
* Driving licence and own vehicle
* An HND or time‑served in a relevant discipline
