An excellent and well-respected secondary school in Taunton is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision. Your Role as SENCO:
* Lead and oversee the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that students receive the necessary interventions and support.
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Oversee the implementation of EHCPs and develop individualised support plans.
* Provide training and support for staff to enhance SEN teaching strategies.
* Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of inclusive education.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A qualified SENCO with the NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete it).
* Experience working with students with a range of additional needs in a secondary school setting.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective SEN strategies.
* A collaborative approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
