Description HRS03 HV Power (traction and non-traction) Rail Systems Contract is being delivered by the Siemens Mobility Costain Joint Venture (SMCjv) (the Contractor) on behalf of High Speed 2 (the Employer). This role will lead digital delivery SMCjv. In summary, HRS03’s scope of works is to provide 25kV Traction and 33kV/11kV Non-traction HV power for HS2’s rail system Phases 1 and 3 between London Euston and Birmingham. The works will include various disciplines such as HV power, SCADA, Civils, Protection & Control, EMC, E&B and LV power. Reporting to the Head of Systems Integration & Assurance, this fulltime role will lead digital engineering for SMCjv in accordance with the works information and instructed change. The role is hybrid office and home based with an expectation to meet with the project team in our London and Birmingham Offices. The team’s core office days are Tuesdays to Thursdays. The role is client facing with the expectation that the selected candidate will form a strong relationship with the client’s digital engineering team. Responsibilities Responsible for delivery of the HRS03 Digital Engineering Management Plan, and associated plans, in accordance with WI300, particularly section 5. Author, maintain, and update the project BEP; ensure all revisions align with HS2 templates and are re-approved at lifecycle stage gates. Responsible to ensuring that HRS03 delivers to its accepted management plans. Responsible for setting up HRS03’s Common Data Environment (CDE) and the project’s interaction with the Client’s CDE. Responsible for data updates to the Client’s CDE. Oversee development of the PIM and it’s progressive assurance into the AIM Manage digital delivery compliance of graphical, non-graphical and geospatial data as per WI300 Responsible for client engagement in digital engineering topics. Act as key interface for the Digital Engineering subject to the HS2 Rail Systems Alliance. Responsible for ensuring Client and HRS03 leadership team understand relevant digital engineering clauses of contract and works information, facilitating training and presentations in support of learning. Will facilitate digital engineering workshops in support of scheme design and further stages as the project progresses. Will facilitate digital engineering in support of procurement. Will support delivery of guidance and mentoring to design team on digital engineering activities. Identification and recruitment of roles required to deliver HS2 digital engineering requirements Qualifications Essential Demonstratable experience in digital engineering and technical leadership Experienced in the use of ProjectWise and ALIM within Major Infrastructure Projects Strong verbal and written communication skills Previous experience of implementing ISO19650 on large infrastructure projects Experience of delivering asset information in line with owner/operator requirements Experience of CDE responsibility on a large infrastructure project Experience of team and functional leadership delivering BIM on infrastructure projects. Desirable HS2 experience in a main contractor Experience working with major rail projects Knowledge of GIS processes and/or managing GIS team Previous experience of delivering BIM derived cost and carbon information Capturing and reporting on benefits of BIM realised Experience of supply chain requirements setting and monitoring Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel Experience of being responsible for cost and carbon data delivery and BIM workflows. Qualifications Appropriate professional qualification or equivalent experience in Digital Engineering ISO19650 certification from recognised body such as BRE or BSI.
