Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Design Manager to oversee the design aspects of construction projects and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality outcomes. The role is on-site at our Letchworth location and involves leading design activities, coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors, and ensuring designs meet project requirements. Additional responsibilities include managing timelines, identifying potential design issues, implementing cost‑effective solutions, and maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in design management, design coordination, and architectural planning
* Proficiency in problem‑solving, cost management, and value engineering
* Experience in overseeing construction projects and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
* Excellent knowledge of design software and tools relevant to construction and architectural planning
* Familiarity with building regulations, safety standards, and sustainable building practices
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Advantage with experience in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
* Prior experience in the construction industry, preferably in the public and private sectors
