The role
Seek out high quality ingredients/ products to ensure our customers needs are met.
Communicates well with other members of the team and keeps them up to date with any cost changes.
Efficient in meeting the demand of price enquiries from the sales team.
Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
Looks for ways the company can save money/cut expenses.
Monitors stock levels
Keeps up to date with market changes and negotiates with supplies to ensure we get the best deal.
Can use computers to put purchase orders on using sage 200 (sage training available)
Has industry knowledge to know which suppliers are most reliable and reasonably priced.
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Requirements;
Purchasing experience for at least 2 years
Good interpersonal skills - able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers, communication is key at all times
IT skills when using outlook, sage and act (training is available)
Able to fully understand customer needs and demands (e.g. price, quality, availability)
Strong time management skills
