Our client is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join their team based in Derby. With over 40 years of experience in plant sales, the company supplies new and used construction machinery and tools, including skid steer loaders, excavators, telescopic handlers, road and compaction equipment, dumpers, portable power solutions, hydraulic breakers, and a range of professional tools. This position has arisen due to company growth. They operate from two depots across the Midlands and have built a reputation for providing high-quality equipment to diverse industries such as construction, civil engineering, agriculture, mining, quarrying, forestry, landscaping, and materials handling.
Mobile Plant Engineer - Derby Job Overview
* Respond to breakdowns at customer sites, diagnose faults, and perform maintenance or repairs on plant equipment.
* Service, repair, and maintain various plant and construction machinery.
* Travel to customer locations as required.
* Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Mobile Plant Engineer - Derby Job Requirements
* Previous experience as a Mobile Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Plant Technician, or Plant Mechanic.
* Hands-on experience with plant machinery, including excavators, diggers, rollers, and dumpers.
* Within commuting distance of Derby.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and minimal supervision required.
* Professional, confident demeanor with excellent communication skills.
* Full, valid driving license (essential).
Salary & Benefits
* £30,000-£40,000 salary depending on experience.
* Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with overtime available.
