Overview
The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Mission & Ministry Development Team Administrator to support the smooth running of training, events, and processes that assist clergy and lay leaders across the Diocese. This role helps deliver the diocesan vision by resourcing those called to missional leadership and discipleship.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Mission & Ministry Development and the wider team.
* Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and provide secretarial support.
* Coordinate administration for training courses, CMD, IME2, and diocesan events.
* Support the delivery of high-quality training and development programmes.
* Administer grants, enquiries, applications, and course materials (including via Moodle).
* Publicise events and keep web content up to date.
* Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
* Assist with budget planning processes and grant administration.
* Offer general office support including reception cover and handling confidential matters.
About You
* An excellent administrator with proven experience managing complex tasks and processes.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint).
* Highly organised and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
* A confident communicator, both in writing and verbally.
* Discreet, reliable, and able to handle confidential matters sensitively.
* Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Flexible, with a willingness to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or residential events (TOIL applies).
Experience within the Church of England or understanding of diocesan/parish structures would be helpful.
