Supply Desk are seeking SEND teaching assistants for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant in the Petersfield area Starting from January 2026 on a long-term contract Monday- Friday8;30- 3:30 £82-£95 per day (dependent upon experience) About the school: Ofsted rated “Good” SEND and mainstream classes from Year R -6 Offers specialist therapies and lessons Warm and welcoming staff Hold values of independence, inclusion and respect Job Description: Some experience with children with additional needs preferred especially SEMH Desire to work throughout Key stages (4-11 year olds) Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths, Literacy, life skills and social skills or 1:1 with specific pupils and supporting their needs Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract Location: Petersfield – A car would be needed for this role Start Date: January 2026 Contract Length: Long Term – Potential to become permanent Hours: Part time 32.5 Individual Profile: A nurturing and caring nature GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade Experience of working with children/young people Experience of working with adults and or children with Social Emotional and Mental Health issues Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual Knowledgeable about safeguarding Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations First Aid trained or be willing to be trained Who are Supply Desk?
