Are you eager about making a difference in the lives of young adults? We have an opportunity for a female Support Worker to join us in our independent living model in Southbourne. You’ll be supporting seven vibrant residents—three females and four males. Each person lives in their own self-contained flat.

A Genuine Occupational Requirement applies under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010. This role is therefore only open to females, referring to the sex legally assigned at birth.

The Role

Aspire offers young adults a vital transition from living at home to achieving independence. As a Support Worker, you’ll provide day-to-day support tailored to the needs of each resident. The people you’ll be working with may have Autism, ADHD, or other associated learning needs and your support will play a key role in helping them build confidence and essential life skills.

If you\'re compassionate, reliable, and eager to help others, we’d love to hear from you! This role is perfect for someone with a warm, caring approach and a keen eye for detail—someone who enjoys staying active and is passionate about empowering others to live more independently.

Hours of work: This role would include a range of shifts between 7am - 10pm. You would be required to work alternate weekends and provide sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment).

A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:

* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Following the support plan for each person to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication

* 12-week induction programme consisting of in-house training, e-learning, shadowing, coaching, and mentoring
* The opportunity to complete an accredited qualification once you’ve passed your probation period
* All colleagues have access to an internal learning portal so you can increase your skills and knowledge in the areas that interest you the most
