1. Disassemble customer landing gears to a high standard and without causing damage to any individual components.
2. Working with the team to meet department schedule deadlines.
3. Preparing parts for next operation ensuring parts are correctly identified and presented in a manner where damages will not occur.
Duties and Responsibilities:
4. Disassemble customer landing gears I.A.W the manufacturer instructions (CMM).
5. Avoid additional damage and work with team to communicate required improvements to tooling and processes.
6. Work to tight deadlines.
7. Control of personal and company tools.
8. Awareness and understanding of the computer-based MOE (IQMove).
9. Uphold housekeeping standards.
10. Report to Leading Hand / Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated.
11. Embrace an open reporting culture.
12. Participate and contribute to team dialog meetings.
13. Carry out missing and damaged inspections.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes Required:
14. Equivalent to GCSE A-C grades
15. It would be advantageous but not essential that the applicant would have served an apprenticeship. within a mechanical assembly / disassembly environment.
16. Illustrate previous knowledge and experience of use of hand tools.
17. Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE.
18. Previous use of overhead cranes and forklifts would be preferable.
19. It would be preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment.
20. Great team player, Good communicator, Punctual and reliable.
21. Honest and trustworthy.
22. Ability to work under own initiative.
23. Able to follow instruction and learn / absorb working methods.
24. Excellent approach to Quality, Health, and safety.
25. Good manual dexterity.
Working Conditions:
26. The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends.
27. The nature of the job requires the applicant to come into contact with various greases and oils.
28. The position involves the training and use of overhead cranes.
Compliance and Onboarding:
29. Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
30. Mandatory Training will be required.
31. The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with a number of breaks throughout the day.
32. The position and process involves lifting heavy aircraft components.
33. The position requires the applicant to disassemble large components requiring good physical strength.
