You will work closely with the supervisor in performing various duties involving different and unrelated processes and methods. The work involves applying precedents and established criteria to resolve a variety of conventional problems, issues, or conditions. The successful candidate will receive structured training and mentorship while performing a range of essential HR duties. Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will learn to plan, coordinate, and advise on HR matters, applying established criteria to resolve a variety of operational problems and support our team. Key Responsibilities: • Provide guidance to individuals and groups on HR matters and use data analytics to support long-range, complex projects. • Offer information and assistance to staff and management in support of core human resources programs. • Process actions related to Benefits & Allowances and manage travel/transportation functions for US citizens employed overseas. • Manage the processing of actions for US Forces Civilian Component status within the UK. • Be proficient in using multiple office automation software packages to produce a wide range of documents and reports. • Take on and manage special projects assigned, developing your problem-solving and project management skills. Duties will involve related steps, processes, or methods; prescribed data sources; stable work units, and routine or standard assignments such as compiling and computing data, identifying trends or problems, and explaining procedures. You will follow and apply specific rules, regulations, or procedures to perform a full range of technical tasks, duties and assignments, which are often a part of a broader assignment, project, or process. Qualifications and Key skills: One year’s specialized experience as per the key skills listed below: • Knowledge of basic principles of the Human Resources Specialist or related field. • Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. • Ability to learn basic techniques of Human Resources Specialist’s. • Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions. • Ability to plan and organize work and consult effectively with co-workers. Conditions of employment 1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential. 2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. 3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. 4. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies. Overtime may be required and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. 5.
