We are recruiting for 2x Senior Data Analysts based in Sweden, on a 12 month contract basis initially. The role will be remote, but candidates will have access to the office if wanted.
The successful Senior Data Analysts will be responsible for implementing a range of moderate to complex analyses in support of epidemiologic studies for our client. You will also be expected to contribute subject-matter expertise during study planning and designing phases.
The main programming language for this role is SAS (e.g., SAS Base, SAS Stat, SAS Macro, Proc SQL), though other languages such as R/R Studio or Python may be used.
Responsibilities:
Implements cohort selection, variable derivation, data management, analyses, and production of results for the type of studies described above using SAS or another of the programming languages with little or no supervision.
Conducts double programming and develops programming specifications. Reviews programs developed by other programmers on the team.
Conducts all programming work in accordance with RWE Good Programming Practices and QA/QC standards.
Reviews and assists in the development of study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and table shells, and provides input during the planning and design phases of projects.
Provides critical review of budgeted hours for Data Analysts to support project planning.
Independently handles client communication related to analysis, serves as a main point of contact on client calls, and presents findings when requested.
Manages assignments to meet timelines and deliver high quality work, with awareness of relevant contractual obligations or limits.
Contributes to departmental infrastructure, including training materials, departmental documents or policies, and a library of SAS macros and/or R programs to improve programming efficiency.
Provides training and guidance to junior team members. May have supervisory responsibilities.Experience and Education required:
Education in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Biostatistics or a related field. PhD with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or MSc with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Senior-level expertise in the fundamentals and quantitative methodologies of epidemiology, statistics, health economics, or health services research.
Experience with RWE data and Pharmacoepidemiology research.
Experience using SAS to manage, clean, and analyse registry data is essential; experience with other large databases (e.g. claims or EMR/EHR data) is considered a plus.
Experience with double programming and development of programming specifications.
Experience in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
