Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £24,570 £25,935 per year

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive, nurturing educational environment, helping learners thrive in a small, focused special school setting in Caerphilly.
The school provides high-quality learning experiences for secondary-aged children with IDP/ALN Statements, ADHD, and/or challenging behaviours. Class sizes are small, typically with a staff-to-student ratio of 2:4, fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities Mentor, support, and inspire learners through classroom learning, home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities.
Assist with the preparation of learning materials and support lesson delivery, with a strong focus on behaviour management.
Record daily progress and identify barriers to learning.
Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers.
Requirements Passion for supporting students with SEND.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a SEND or similar educational setting.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential.
