SEN Teaching Assistant
(Required for September 2026)
St Edmunds College is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional educational needs within our thriving Learning Support Department.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential through individual and small-group support.
We are looking for someone who
Is passionate about supporting young people
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Can promote independence and inclusion
Is patient, adaptable, and proactive
Experience working with children or SEN pupils is desirable.
The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity and as such an enhanced DBS check (which includes childrens barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
