About the role
Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.
Responsibilities
* Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
* Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
* Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
* Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
* Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
* Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
* You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
Qualifications
* You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) and have previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
* A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
* Target driven to help the store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
* Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.

Working Hours
Full time permanent positions at 30 - 36 per week, working Monday to Sunday, 6:00am to 11:00pm, with a degree of flexibility required to cover a variety of shifts including opening at 6:00am, closing at 11:00pm and weekends will be expected.
