We’re looking for a visionary and strategic Registrar to lead the academic administration and regulatory compliance across the full student journey—from enrolment to graduation.
You’ll oversee the Registry team, drive data quality and reporting, ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. OfS, HESA), and support the student lifecycle through streamlined services and inclusive practice. You’ll be the go-to expert for academic operations and a key partner in driving our student success agenda.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all Registry functions, systems, and staff
* Oversee academic operations including enrolment, timetabling, assessments, graduation, and progression
* Ensure compliance with OfS, HESA, and other regulatory bodies
* Manage student record systems and ensure high data accuracy and reporting integrity
* Deliver strategic insights through dashboards and performance reports (Power BI a plus)
* Collaborate across departments to embed student-focused, efficient services
* Support institutional policies, academic regulations, misconduct, and appeals
* Represent LCCA at internal and external forums, supporting academic integrity and quality assurance
Specific duties
* Line manage senior staff in delivery of the above.
* As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you will be expected to play a full role across the whole range of the College’s activity in SMT meetings.
* Represent the College externally and internally in line with the seniority of the role and the needs of the College
* Take responsibility for on-going personal and professional development in line with the College’s needs and that of the role.
* In addition to the above areas of responsibility the post-holder may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the College and the seniority of the role.
Essential
* Senior leadership experience in academic registry or higher education administration
* Strong knowledge of UK Higher Education regulations, data returns, and quality standards
* Expertise in student record systems and data governance
* Strategic thinker and strong communicator, comfortable leading cross-college change
* Track record of building collaborative, high-performing teams
* Commitment to inclusion, equity, and continuous service improvement
Desirable
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience
* Experience in academic quality, collaborative partnerships, or higher education governance
* Background in implementing tech-driven solutions and service innovation
