Learning Support Assistant – Secondary (Stockport)

Contract: Full‑time, term‑time (08:15 – 15:15)
Rate: £89 – £95 per day (weekly PAYE via Teaching Personnel)
About the role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an inclusive Stockport secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. You’ll:
* give targeted 1‑to‑1 and small‑group support across KS3 – KS4, especially in English, maths and science
* scaffold learning in lessons, following teacher direction
* deliver intervention sessions to boost progress and confidence
* support behaviour regulation and pupils’ social‑emotional wellbeing
* adapt resources and record impact for the SENCo
* provide occasional classroom cover (no planning/marking)
About you
* Experience with young people — schools, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, care or similar
* GCSE (or equivalent) English & maths grade C/4+
* Calm, patient and able to build quick rapport
* Genuine interest in SEND; CPD such as Team‑Teach, Autism Awareness or ELSA is a bonus
* Enhanced Child‑Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Right to work in the UK and able to provide two references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
