Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Early Years TA)
Location: Stockton
Salary: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting young children in their early stages of learning?
GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Stockton.
This rewarding role involves supporting children within the Early Years setting, helping them engage in classroom activities and encouraging their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment for young learners.
Responsibilities of an Early Years TA:
* Support children within the Early Years classroom setting
* Assist the class teacher with learning activities and lesson preparation
* Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication development
* Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Assist with phonics, reading, creative play, and classroom tasks
* Encourage positive behaviour and active participation
* Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents where required
Requirements of an Early Years TA:
* Previous experience working with young children is desirable
* CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is advantageous
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
* Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
