18:00pm - 04:30am Mon - Thurs + OT
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Established over 40 years ago, MNB Precision provides manufacturing and precision engineering services to the world’s leading companies across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Rail and other manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all manufacturing and production processes on the night shift.
* Ensure production schedules are carried out in line with Production Director’s instructions and targets.
* Ensure the quality of all work produced meets the company quality standards.
* Monitor on and off times of WO’s on all machines that supervisors are responsible for at least twice a day and report any production issues to Production Director.
* Assist and resolve technical problems as and when they arise and put an action plan to prevent future occurrence (IRN & OEE).
* Manage staff, setting targets and carrying out performance appraisals.
* Carry out company disciplinary procedures where necessary.
* Accurately contribute to the estimation process when required.
* Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and report any issues to maintenance manager.
* Be responsible for the security and organisation of the company CNC programmes through the Supervisors.
* Constantly work towards improving efficiency throughout the company production areas (OEE).
* Train the section improvers when required and suggest new training/new technology programmes as appropriate.
Requirements
* Extensive experience within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally within Oil & Gas, Aerospace or Defence.
* Proven experience managing manufacturing and production processes within a machine shop environment.
* Previous experience managing and motivating teams with responsibility for appraisals and disciplinary processes.
* Motivated and driven to lead from the front at all times.
* Excellent communication skills.
