As the Procurement Manager you will ensure that all of Tayside Contracts' procurement needs are met in accordance with current legislation, Financial Regulations and Standing Orders and that Best Value for Money is secured through driving continuous improvement on procurement processes and total acquisition costs. You will ensure that a customer-focused and cost-effective Stores service is provided across Tayside Contracts.
You will be a flexible and adaptable individual who is motivated, with high professional standards and high level of integrity.
You will have extensive post qualifying procurement experience and extensive experience of producing management and committee reports. You will have previous experience of managing a team and of successfully achieving targets.
You will have a proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team and to work autonomously to strict timescales. You will have the ability to plan and organise work to meet corporate and statutory objectives and timelines.
You will have the ability to work successfully as a member of the team and to establish effective working relationships within the Procurement Section and with colleagues in Operational Units and external organisations. You will have the ability to convey procurement information to non-procurement professionals.
You will have excellent numeracy skills, written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office package.
You will possess a CIPS Professional Qualification and Full Membership.
You will have a Category B Driving Licence or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain and access to a motor vehicle, or otherwise able to meet the requirement to travel efficiently to other locations.

We currently employ 2, people covering over 3, posts, working in more than establishments across Tayside providing essential public services to the, residents in Tayside on behalf of the three councils.
