Salary up to £62,400 depending on experience plus benefits
Here at Samspon Park we are looking for a dedicated and committed Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. Your day duties include a mix of consulting and surgical caseload, some duties at our neighbouring Corby site. In this role, you'll encounter a diverse caseload, with a well-balanced mix of surgical and medical cases such as dental, soft tissue, orthopaedics, emergency surgery, access to endoscopy, tonopen, exotics. You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced nursing team. We're committed to your professional growth, with full certificate support available.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours a week average (inclusive of weekend duties) over 4 days. Shifts will be from 8:00am-6:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm. Out of hours is covered by VetsNow.

We are a friendly and supportive first opinion, small animal practice located in beautiful market town with easy access to large city and links to Northampton and Cambridge. Ideal area for outdoor enthusiasts as rural location, River Nene access and local sports clubs. London accessible within an hour on the train. Practice facilities include routine multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, access to dental x-ray, endoscopy and lap spays at sister site with opportunity to follow cases through.
Staff wellbeing is a priority and we have a good level of experienced Vets for clinical support.
Meet the team
We have a wonderful, happy and stable team which includes 13 Vets spread over 3 sites. Our team have wellbeing activity sessions (within work hours) quarterly and we have regular Vet meetings to discuss cases and ensure we are all aligned. We are fully supportive of growth and development and have a high number of experienced Vets on hand to support. We have an Exotics specialist within our site and support Vets wishing to study further. We currently have one Vet currently studying for their Medicine certificate. We are recognised as a Midlands Centre of Excellence Practice, and we believe this is down to the management of our staff. It is important that we have a lovely team environment where we actively promote a healthy work life balance.
