About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary. In this role, you'll work in a dynamic retail environment where no two days are alike.
Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, you'll continuously seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural and friendly service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines, to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in driving profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Adhering to the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all safety and legal training.
* If applicable, managing Post Office operations, including passing necessary background checks.
