Practice Based Educator Midwife

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 NMC Registered Midwife to join our education and development team. In this role you will work in collaboration with the Practice Development Midwife and Clinical Skills Educator to support education programmes for all staff within the maternity unit.
We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and compassionate midwife with strong clinical experience, skills and knowledge. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, delivery and monitoring of training and development programmes. This position requires excellent communication, leadership and organisational abilities as well as a commitment to supporting professional growth and maintaining high standards of care.
Job Summary
The role supports education programmes in the maternity unit, working closely with the Practice Development Midwife and Clinical Skills Educator to ensure programmes meet national strategy and safety initiatives.
Main Duties
* Visible and proactive role model supporting development in the multi-professional team.
* Collaborate with the Practice Development Midwife and Clinical Skills Educator to develop, plan, coordinate and deliver mandatory and continuous professional education programmes.
* Design, implement and deliver education programmes aligned with national strategy, safety initiatives and Local Maternity and Neonatal systems.
* Provide competent assessment, planning and delivery of care to women, babies and families through antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods, supporting high standards of care.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Midwife with active NMC registration
* Diploma or degree in midwifery
Desirable
* NIPE or ENB 997, or working towards
* Preparation for Mentorship or equivalent / practising Practice Supervisor / Assessor
