Job Summary
We are seeking a timber sales specialist to join a successful timber merchant who offers bespoke timber supply services to customers of all sizes. The ideal candidate will have timber sales experience, particularly in hardwood or machined timber, and will be proactive, communicative, and detail‑oriented.
Responsibilities
* Interact with customers via phone, email, and face‑to‑face meetings, asking relevant questions about their projects and capturing quotation enquiries.
* Develop rapport, upsell products where appropriate, and demonstrate sound timber knowledge when called upon.
* Generate quotations, follow up on them, and convert successful quotes into sales orders.
* Maintain high levels of customer service and proactively seek new sales opportunities.
Qualifications
* Experience in timber sales is essential.
* Knowledge of hardwood and/or machined timber is preferred.
* Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
* Ability to think on your feet and work independently.
