Assistant Manager – Front of House

Assistant Manager to join our front-of-house team.

What you’ll be doing
* Supporting
the General Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations
* Leading
and motivating the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences
* Ensuring
all service standards are upheld across the restaurant
* Managing
staff rotas, training, and performance development
* Maintaining
high standards in food, drink, and service knowledge, and sharing this
with the team
* Monitoring
guest satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly and professionally
* Working
closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure seamless, efficient service
* Driving
sales, upselling, and operational performance
* Assisting
with recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members
What we’re looking for
* Previous
experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a professional
hospitality environment
* Strong
leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
* Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging with guests and
colleagues
* A
genuine passion for food, wine, and exceptional service
* A
hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on teamwork and operational
excellence
* Ability
to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and lead by example

St Petroc’s Bistro was the second of Rick Stein and Jill Stein’s restaurants opened in 1988. Our Bistro has grown over the years specialising in bistro food from Britain, France, Spain and Italy. In 2016 Ruby’s Bar was opened next door to St Petroc’s Bistro, our front of house team enjoy looking after guests at both St Petroc’s Bistro and Ruby’s Bar.
