We are looking for a Commercial Workshop Manager to join a busy commercial repair and maintenance operation in Long Bennington. This role is pivotal in managing the workshop, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality work, and the development of a skilled technician team.
The Role:
1. Take full ownership of day-to-day workshop operations
2. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians to achieve high performance
3. Plan workflow efficiently to maximise productivity and meet site targets
4. Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets company, manufacturer, and BSI standards
5. Monitor and maintain quality control processes across the workshop
6. Build strong relationships with customers, insurers, and suppliers
7. Uphold values of excellence, integrity, and innovation within the team
The Person:
8. Proven experience as a Workshop Manager in commercial repair and maintenance, including bodyshop and truck/trailer work
9. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and EPA requirements
10. Experience in a fast-paced workshop environment
11. Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team to drive performance and continuous improvement
12. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
13. Track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets
