Why join our client
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to play a key role in design coordination, procurement, and project delivery across M&E projects. This is a hands‑on position where you’ll be involved from pre‑mobilisation through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design surveys & provide detailed information to design teams
* Review tenders, focusing on design, programme, and risks
* Conduct design Q&A sessions with clients & project teams
* Submit & track RFIs to resolve project queries
* Create procurement documents & technical submittals
* Develop project programmes & highlight risks
* Measure labour & materials accurately
* Liaise with procurement to order materials, plant & equipment
* Review sub‑contractor quotes & support contract awards
* Assist with design communication & support project QA
* Draft site instructions & commissioning documents
* Produce handover documents including O&M manuals
Requirements
* HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* Experience in a similar Project Engineer role
* Strong knowledge of British Standards & M&E disciplines
* Excellent time management & ability to run multiple projects
* High attention to detail & report writing skills
* Strong communication at all levels (site to senior management)
* Knowledge of health & safety best practice
* Full UK driving licence
