We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. Working alongside the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for receiving goods, managing stock, picking and packing orders, and ensuring accurate and timely dispatch. You will be responsible for maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient warehouse environment while liaising with suppliers when required. Delivery duties will be required; therefore, a full clean driving licence is essential. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations · Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch. · Receive incoming deliveries and check goods against purchase orders and delivery notes. · Ensure correct packaging, labelling and documentation for outgoing shipments · Safely store goods in the correct warehouse locations. · Report issues relating to deliveries, damages or shortages. · Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment. · Ensure warehouse equipment is used safely and correctly. · Comply with health and safety procedures and company policies. · Conduct deliveries or collections when required. · Ensure goods are transported safely and documentation is completed correctly. · Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. · Support general warehouse activities and operational needs. · Carry out other duties as reasonably required by management. Supporting the Warehouse Manager · Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies. · Assist with regular stock counts and inventory management · Support the warehouse manager to process customer and internal orders within agreed timelines. · Coordinate with internal teams to ensure order accuracy. · Liaise with suppliers regarding incoming deliveries and order queries. · Support the coordination of incoming stock and supplier shipments. Core Behaviours & Competencies · Works collaboratively with colleagues across the warehouse and wider organisation. · Supports team members to ensure operational goals are achieved. · Ensures accuracy when picking, packing and recording stock. · Carefully checks goods, orders and documentation. · Demonstrates punctuality and dependability. · Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion. · Communicates clearly with colleagues, supervisors and suppliers. · Escalates issues promptly when required. · Manages time effectively and prioritises tasks during busy periods · Maintains an organised workspace and stock areas. · Consistently follows safe working practices · Identifies potential hazards and reports them appropriately. Essential Requirements · Minimum 2 years warehouse experience. · Valid Forklift Licence. · Full clean UK driving licence. · Experience in order picking, packing and stock control. · Good understanding of warehouse health and safety practices. · Ability to lift and move goods safely. · Delivery or logistics experience.
