GBR Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working exclusively with a major Distribution & Logistics company based in Central Lincolnshire recruiting for an experienced permanent Warehouse Operative (several vacancies) to join their well established team, working mainly Days & Late shifts, but there will be some Night shift working too (nights is on call / standby only, so you will sometimes be called to work & sometimes you will stay at home on full pay).
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE STRONG IT / WMS SKILLS as lots of warehouse systems usage / administrative tasks involved in this role
Flexibility in terms of hours you are prepared to work is a must, as the client works a 4 week roster system with different start & finish times, across differing week days.
Days shifts will be 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday, Lates will be 11:30 - 20:00 Monday to Friday & Nights will be 20:00 - 08:00 Thursday, Friday & Sunday or Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday, with shifts being week 1 on Days, weeks 2 & 3 paid on call for Nights (paid if you work or not) & week 4 on Lates, makes up the 4 week roster.
As a Warehouse Operative / MHE Operator (PPT / LLOP) you will be responsible for the movement of stock between Put away / Stock Consolidation / Pick & Pack, plus working in Dispatch too, sending out finished Picks.
Duties:
* Receive deliveries of stock, check quantities & put stock away.
* Receive deliveries of bulk stock, checking quantities, recording the receipt of the products & passing on the paperwork to the Supervisor.
* Keep the warehouse racking systems / shelves restocked from bulk storage.
* Work as part of a small team to achieve set targets / KPI's.
* Rework & re-label & bar code stock as necessary.
* Pick & pack customer orders in readiness for dispatch.
* Dispatch all orders with appropriate paperwork.
* Assist in Loading & Unloading lorries.
* General duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Attributes:
* Warehouse experience, within a fast paced operation.
* MHE (PPT / LLOP) operating experience would be ideal.
* Experience of using RF Scanners & Computer literacy
* Used to working continental shift patters
* Happy to work unsociable hours (lates, nights, weekends).
* Happy to undertake a DBS check (all workers have to do this).
A DBS check is required for this role due to the nature of the working environment / products.
Please note that working conditions may include regular evening & weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients & in a highly targeted fast paced environment.
This role is commutable from Lincoln, Navenby, Washingborough, Bracebridge Heath, Waddington, North Hykeham, South Hykeham, Saxilby, Nettleham, Newark, Newark, Sleaford, Grantham & other areas close to these.
