New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to work in a specialist setting in Cheshire West.
This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the summer term. The school supports pupils with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, autism, and associated communication needs.
The Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to EHCPs
2. Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists to provide holistic support
3. Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
4. Using a range of strategies to support communication and sensory regulation
5. Maintaining strong relationships with parents/carers and the wider school team
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
7. Experience working with children with SEND, particularly complex needs
8. A calm, patient and adaptable approach
9. Ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive staff team
10. A genuine passion for inclusive education
