Senior Bid Manager
Location: Hatfield - Flexible / Hybrid
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000
Are you an experienced bid professional ready to lead high-value, strategic submissions within the built environment? We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager to take ownership of complex bids in the social housing and property services sector, delivering best-in-class responses that win work and drive growth.
What Will You Deliver?
* Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of PQQs, ITTs, and final tender submissions across all procurement stages
* Draft, review, and manage high-quality, tailored bid responses that clearly align with client requirements and scoring criteria
* Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders to gather vital input
* Support and mentor Bid Writers, encouraging continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork
* Conduct site visits and stakeholder interviews to inform bid strategy and enrich technical content
* Continuously refine bid processes and share best practices across the wider bid team
* Maintain and update a high-quality library of reusable content and assist with client presentations
* Ensure all submissions meet company standards and are delivered on time, every time

Who Are You?
* Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex social housing bids, ideally with a direct competitor
* Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
* Strong time management and attention to detail
* Comfortable working independently, with sound judgement to escalate as needed
* Confident using bid portals and digital submission platforms
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; InDesign experience desirable
* Degree in a related field, APMP certification, or membership of CIOB (desirable)
* Background in graphic design, repairs & maintenance (R&M), or new build bids is a plus
* Proven ability to manage multiple high-value bids under pressure and tight deadlines
