Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Mission: Due to internal promotion, we have a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for Projects in our North East and Yorkshire regions. The role will particularly suit someone with experience in a post contract environment and looking to learn and develop in the pre-contract arena with support from our senior members of the team and in house legal team. As Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial management across your project portfolio, driving revenues and profitability, minimising risk & debt and business partnering with Project Managers to ensure we deliver to the highest possible standard. This will include all things commercial such as validating cost build ups, placing & managing sub-contract orders, monthly project reviews, cost forecasting, billings, validating & agreeing variations, notifying of delay, claims and agreeing final accounts We are a global brand, driving innovation and sustainability through our BMS (Building Management Systems) and Access Control Project business. This is an exciting time to join an evolving business Key responsibilities: Experience in post contract environment who is comfortable owning projects end to end. Review of all tender documentation and order ensuring compliance with our quotation. Prepare and issue standard and bespoke order acknowledgements Attend pre-award meetings, site meetings with Operations team where appropriate. Carry out monthly project reviews Ensure finance system is updated on a regular basis to reflect revised forecast to complete and final account projections. Assist debt collection team, preparing and issuing suspension notices where appropriate. Skills and attributes: You are educated to degree level in relevant subject or have equivalent practical experience Passionate about all things commercial with numerical skills and a drive to apply these in a business environment Able to inspire and manage change in an ever-evolving environment Proactively drive career and personal development including professional certification Fluency in English is a must (written and verbal) Education Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline (Law, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain Management) Membership to WCC or additional professional membership would be advantageous : At Schneider Electric, Diversity & Inclusion is at the heart of our organisation, it's an integral part of our history, culture, and identity.
