We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technician to support our operations team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in providing expert maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of plant and hydraulic machinery, ensuring optimal performance in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to the seamless operation of our facilities, making a real difference every day.
Responsibilities
* Provide maintenance, repairs, and inspections on plant and hydraulic machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems; troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
* Operate and maintain pneumatic tooling and general plant equipment.
* Collaborate with the operations team and communicate findings clearly for reporting and safety compliance.
Qualifications
* Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
* Experience with pneumatic tooling and general plant maintenance.
* Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.
* Effective communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
* Full valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with Cengar, Atlas Copco, Universal Tools, and Chicago Pneumatic tools.
* Diesel motor training and service experience.
* Enerpac training and service expertise.
* Prior mechanical equipment working knowledge.
Education and Experience
* Technical Apprenticeship or equivalent certification.
* Relevant experience in plant and equipment maintenance, especially with hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Other Requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to work on-site, support multiple depots, and undertake site-specific procedures.
* Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including on-site visits and site-specific requirements.
* Commitment to safety protocols and environmental policies.
