We are seeking a Lecturer/Assessor in Carpentry to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students and apprentices, maximizing achievement and continuous improvement. This role plays a fundamental part in developing the curriculum through employer engagement and learner skills development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching and assessment activities within carpentry, including lectures, setting and marking coursework, practical activities and fieldwork.
* Select appropriate assessment methods and criteria and assess student work and progress against the criteria.
* Provide constructive feedback to students.
* Support curriculum development and maintain engagement with industry employers.
Qualifications & Experience
* Thorough understanding of the Carpentry Apprenticeship standard and End‑Point Assessment (EPA) process.
* Experience working in the Carpentry industry.
* Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one) and teaching experience in an FE college.
* Advanced computer literacy and general office software skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
