We're seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing Technology Team at our Altrincham office. This role is pivotal in ensuring our development team builds solutions that truly reflect the needs of our business and clients. Acting as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, you'll turn ideas and requirements into actionable user stories and clear specifications.
This is a hands-on role for someone motivated, detail-oriented, and outcome-driven — a completer-finisher who ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
Hybrid working available subject to training and probation. (2 days at home, 3 days in the office)
The Role:
* Engage with stakeholders across the payroll and accountancy business to gather and understand requirements
* Analyse business needs and translate them into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation
* Work closely with the development team to ensure requirements are fully understood and delivered effectively
* Support the prioritisation of the product backlog and assist in sprint planning
* Act as the key point of communication between business teams and developers, ensuring alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle
* Validate solutions against business requirements, ensuring quality and fitness for purpose

Requirements:
* Minimum 5 GCSEs including grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
* BCS Business Analyst certifications (desirable)
* Certification in project management (desirable)
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in payroll, accountancy, or related sectors)
* Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for agile development teams
