Are you an experienced Attendance Officer looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham?
Winner Education are working closely with a school in Central Birmingham in assisting them with the recruitment of a School Attendance Officer. The role is full time, 8:30-3:30pm per day. You will be required to start immediately on a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Day to day attendance monitoring
* Updating student records
* Previous experience using SIMS software system
* Supporting students and families regarding attendance issues
* Liaising student parents/guardians to verify student absences
* Monitoring and enforcing school attendance policies
* Maintain accurate pupil attendance records
* Provide administrative support as and when required
* Conducting home visits
* Produce pupil attendance reports
* Provide cover on main school reception as and when required
* Present data to senior leaders
* Attend management meetings when required
The successful School Attendance Officer will:
* Need to be highly organised
* Have excellent interpersonal skills
* Have previous school attendance/administration experience
* Be highly motivated, professional and forward thinking
* Have proficient computer skills including experience with SIMS
* Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
* Be able to form positive relationships with all staff and parents
* Require knowledge of school attendance procedures
