Ready for a new challenge where you'll lead a small team of HCPs, guide clinical practice, and support the development of advanced forensic and clinical skills — not only in yourself, but across your team?

Salary

1. Starting salary: £45,
2. Progression: Up to £49, once all when all professional development pathway training is passed following assessments.

About the Role

As a senior leader within our service, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring detained individuals receive safe, accurate and compassionate healthcare.

You will:

3. Lead, support and supervise a team of Healthcare Professionals, ensuring high‑quality clinical assessments, robust documentation and consistent care standards.
4. Oversee rota management, stepping in where necessary to maintain safe staffing and service continuity.
5. Work closely with the Clinical Lead as part of an integrated leadership team, ensuring local processes reflect National Clinical Governance Standards.
6. Champion best practice, continuous improvement and a culture of clinical excellence.

Your clinical expertise, leadership strengths and commitment to high standards will have a meaningful daily impact in the custody environment

Minimum Requirements

To apply, you must be:

7. A qualified RN Adult, RMN (dual registration welcomed), RGN or Paramedic
8. Able to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months' Custody experience
9. Three years post‑qualification experience gained in one or more of the following: General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health Services, Ambulance Service
10. A UK resident for a minimum of 3 years
11. Holder of a full manual driving licence (no restrictions), with the ability to travel to other custody suites and local hospitals as required
12. Able to pass police vetting checks

25. A designated COMEA system to support the development of your professional portfolio and CV
