The Business Apprentice will provide essential administrative support to the European Rentals Department, handling telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional and efficient manner. They will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the office, ensuring smooth coordination, maintaining supplies and equipment, and acting as a point of contact for both internal and external communications.\n\nThis is a 2-year fixed-term Modern Apprenticeship. As part of this Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 6, delivered by North East Scotland College.\n\nThis is a workplace-based qualification, and the successful candidate will be expected to complete all coursework as instructed and meet deadlines set by their college assessor. The candidate must be willing to travel to the Aberdeen City Campus when required for induction sessions, exams, or other essential activities related to the qualification.\n\n â¢\tUndertake the SVQ 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration, SCQF Level 6 course\nâ¢\tProvide administrative support to the European Rentals Department, and others during any secondment.\nâ¢\tGenerate and Prepare Cost reports & provide support to the Purchase Order process, including receipt invoicing and closing out of Purchase Orders.\nâ¢\tManage and organize office operations and procedures.\nâ¢\tHandle incoming calls, emails, mail, and other communications.\nâ¢\tMaintain filing systems (physical and digital) and ensure records are up-to-date.\nâ¢\tOrder and manage office supplies and inventory.\nâ¢\tCoordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for staff.\nâ¢\tAssist with onboarding of new employees and maintaining HR records.\nâ¢\tLiaise with vendors, service providers, and building management.\nâ¢\tEnsure office compliance with company policies and procedures.\nâ¢\tProvide general support to visitors and maintain a welcoming office environment\nâ¢\tUndertake training and CPD as required\n\nYouâll gain hands-on experience in a busy international business environment, develop a wide range of transferable administrative and organisational skills, and work towards a recognised qualification while earning and learning on the job.\n â¢\tGood IT skills and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).\nâ¢\tStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.\nâ¢\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nâ¢\tAttention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nâ¢\tCreative and proactive approach.\nâ¢\tEnthusiastic, can-do attitude, eager to learn\nâ¢\tA team player with the ability to work on own initiative\nâ¢\tExperience within in Customer Service and/or administration would be advantageous however full training can be provided.\nâ¢\tDriving License is advantageous but not required.\n
