We are recruiting a Damage Administrator to join our client’s busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford. This role is ideal for someone with administration experience in a bodyshop, mechanical workshop, or automotive environment, who is confident handling data, managing claims, and communicating with internal and external partners.
You will play a key role in processing transit damage claims, supporting the technical and bodyshop teams, and ensuring accurate records are kept across multiple systems.
The Role
1. Manage and process transit damage claims within agreed timeframes
2. Liaise with carriers and suppliers regarding damage, delays and resolutions
3. Raise job cards and ensure all displaced items are returned within the required timeframe
4. Support the bodyshop and technical teams with accurate documentation
5. Input claims into internal and external systems
6. Maintain manual and electronic filing to company standards
7. Produce reports, analyse KPIs and identify issues or process improvements
8. Ensure data accuracy across systems and spreadsheets
9. Work closely with internal departments to resolve damage-related queries
10. Carry out general administrative duties as required
About You
11. Administration experience in a bodyshop, workshop, automotive, logistics or technical environment (essential)
12. Strong IT skills including confident use of Microsoft Office and Excel
13. Excellent communication and customer service skills
14. High attention to detail and accuracy
15. Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
16. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
17. Able to work well independently and as part of a wider team
18. A proactive approach with the ability to spot and resolve issues
