Key Account Manager (covering the Ipswich, Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Bishop's, Stortford area)
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which involves a combination of field‑based work, visiting customer sites and offices, and remote work. Responsibilities
Spending a part of your time 'on the road', you will be the key point of contact for customers covering Suffolk and surrounding areas. These companies are incredibly varied, coming from a range of industries and backgrounds. You will work closely with them to identify challenges and provide top‑class solutions.
* Identify and target revenue potential within your portfolio.
* Produce robust business plans that exceed sales and profit targets.
* Build a detailed understanding of customers, markets, and competitors.
* Maintain accurate customer records.
* Build coalitions across the business to support the delivery of sales targets, including collaboration with internal account managers.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a field‑based sales role with account management responsibilities and exposure to KPIs and targets.
* Open‑mindedness and willingness to embrace change.
* Solution‑led approach to work.
* Proven strategic thinking and planning skills.
* Excellent relationship building abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Salesforce CRM or B2B systems is a bonus.
* A valid driving licence is essential.
