Job purpose statement
This role exists to support the business and its customers in supplying the right product at the right price to the right customer first time, on time, every time. The focus is on quality, accuracy and attention to detail coupled with a deep sense of personal responsibility. The role where applicable will contribute to aspects of financial management to ensure high quality information is provided to stakeholders and work effectively to meet business requirements. This will include Accounts Receivable transactional processing, with Credit Control Management and the processing of daily bank account movements.
Duties
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Customer Services
* Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately, compliantly and in a timely manner
* Accurately utilises Merz Sales & Distribution processes, data flows and associated systems
* Ensure that customer services databases & systems are accurately populated, utilised and managed
* Process queries from internal and external customers in a timely fashion
* Execution of the Customer Services workflows ensuring effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* Working knowledge of the external environment relating to billing, pricing and delivery
* Ensure all data captured and records kept are compliant with Data Protection / GDPR regulations
Accounts Receivable
* Upkeep of the debtors ledger
* Debt collection
* Credit control
* Processing bank receipts and payments
* Customer account reconciliations
* Providing management information pertinent to customer debt position
Banking
* Capturing and processing daily bank transactions in the accounting system
* Daily Bank reconciliation
* Filing of records
Other
* Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require
Technical skills and abilities
* Excellent attention to detail and process orientation
* Ability to process transactions accurately and consistently
* Confident with Microsoft Office and computerised business systems
* A basic understanding of accounting processes (AP, Banking AR)
* Self-motivated and resilient with good energy levels
* Desire to learn and to take hands-on approach to the role
* Ability to multi task and prioritise accordingly
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Relevant degree or studying towards equivalent
