What is the Role
As the Collections Financial Analyst, you will support the Collections leadership team in all aspects of accurate financial budget delivery as well as supporting Third party ledger reports. You will engage with key leads across the Business Energy Collections team and with Finance and Compliance functions to facilitate successful delivery.

In addition, you will be required to:
* Understand the collections strategy and facilitate the monitoring of associated costs and validated performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Display and track spend using multiple Microsoft packages, such as Excel and Power BI, to provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
* Manage the co-ordination of risk and issue management, including providing constructive challenge to Third Parties and escalation of operational risks to Collections Leadership Team.
* Have responsibility for managing expenditure activities, as well as monthly reconciliation within agreed reporting timetable.
* Assist with the production of reports and presentations, such as monthly KPI reporting and specific asset reviews, for both internal and external meetings.
* Conduct regular assessments of actual and committed costs, cost variance and evaluate the remaining forecast spend to enable decision making.
* Directly manage relationships with key governance stakeholders in Finance, Compliance, Procurement.
What do I need?
* Experience in an analytical or commercial role where you have monitored budgets and business performance spend. While a formal financial qualification is not essential, it is preferred that you have hands-on experience in monitoring budgets and spend.
* A proven track record of investigating spends to achieve a strong return on investments
* The ability to display and analyse data using a range of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and Power BI – Essential.
* A driven, results-oriented approach with a positive, professional, and independent problem-solving attitude
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise, plan, and balance immediate and longer-term team priorities.
* t written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate and present to different audiences and stakeholders.
* Strong IT skills, including experience working with databases and Microsoft Office packages to conduct analysis and performance reporting.
