As a Relief Care Worker with CrossReach, you will support older people to live with dignity, comfort and independence on a flexible, as-and-when basis. This is a practical and rewarding role where your care, consistency and compassion genuinely matter, while offering flexibility to fit around other commitments.
What your role will involve
1. Supporting personal care and daily routines with dignity and respect
2. Promoting wellbeing through social, physical and meaningful activities
3. Working closely with colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment
4. Maintaining accurate records in line with care requirements
5. Providing reliable support across shifts as needed
About you
You are caring, patient and reliable, with a genuine respect for older people. Ideally, you will already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care. Ideally, you will already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or be willing to work towards this with support. You may already have experience in care or be looking to gain experience within social care on a flexible basis. You are comfortable using basic IT systems and are willing to register with the SSSC and join the PVG Scheme as part of the appointment process. You are also happy to work within the Christian ethos of CrossReach.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
