For over 45 years, Thrive Domestic Abuse Services has provided a haven for women, children and young people in Neath Port Talbot, helping them rebuild their lives and regain their independence in safe communities. We offer emergency accommodation, community-based services, support groups, therapeutic interventions, specialist children and young people services, as well as training and employment opportunities. Our mission is to prevent abuse, provide safe interventions, and enable individuals to progress from trauma to build successful independent lives. We help the whole family to ensure the cycle of abuse is broken. We aim to encourage, enable, and empower everyone to achieve, regardless of their circumstances.
Role Description
We're seeking a committed and detail-oriented individual to join our Board of Directors as the Treasurer. This is a vital leadership role for someone with a strong understanding of financial management and a passion for supporting our mission.
The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the financial matters of Thrive Domestic Abuse Services in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee, approve and present budgets, accounts, financial statements and financial reports to the Board of Trustees after discussion with the CEO and Finance Director.
Hours:
Those necessary to fulfil the role, as a guide circa one day per month
