As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll play a vital part in supporting the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by conducting Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments. You'll combine professional collaboration with the flexibility of home working, making a real difference to people's lives.
What you'll do
* Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for PIP in a professional and empathetic manner
* Analyse clinical information and medical evidence to produce clear, detailed and objective reports
* Work to set standards/targets and respond positively to feedback
* Operate independently while collaborating with clinical and administrative colleagues
* Stay up to date with DWP guidelines, policies and assessment criteria
* Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical knowledge and practice
* Work from the assessment centre as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
* Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
* Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
* UK right to work (sponsorship not available)
* Strong IT skills (minimum typing speed 35 WPM)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Recent clinical experience with a background in a broad range of settings
* Ability to multi-task and make objective, evidence-based decisions
Desirable:
* Previous experience in functional assessment or clinical decision-making
* Skilled in producing accurate, concise reports
