Bookkeeper

Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping including financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
* Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information.
* Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically.
* Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
* Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
* Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
* Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant financial software.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
